It was only 4 ½ hours to Jasper but we needed to leave by a certain time because we were meeting our friends, Wes and Marie Nolan for dinner at 5:00. We met at Pizza Hut in Jasper and their pastor, Ron Rucker joined us for dinner as well.
We were grateful for the two rooms they got us at the Super 8 and everyone was able to sleep comfortably.
We really enjoyed a great service at Cornerstone Church. The room was full and the folks were very enthusiastic. Bobby and the children sang and then Pastor Ron gave a great message out of Philippians concerning walking in the authority that God gave us in Jesus Christ. The altars were full at the conclusion of the service.
We had lunch with Pastor Ron, his wife and the Nolan Family and then took a long time to say goodbye to the Nolans out in the parking lot before driving to Canon by way of Atlanta.
Our evening service a return visit to Canon Church of God with Pastor Gary Steward. We love this guy. His birthday is near Hope's and when we were there in December of last year the kids surprised him by singing happy birthday to him during the offering. He's become of friend of Bobby's over the past several months and we appreciate the spirit of this man.
We had another blessing with two hotel rooms and rested well. With school on the road the next day it made the time go a little faster and we arrived home before the hour was too late.
